About Casa Tolomei
Located in the historic centre of Bagni di Lucca, Tuscany, Casa Tolomei is a beautiful, spacious Tuscan villa constructed centuries ago, and renovated between 2015 and 2017. This graceful, elegant setting is the perfect place for your summer holidays.
The villa rental has five bedrooms which are all generously proportioned, three bathrooms (of which two are en-suite), a lovely large sitting room, modern kitchen and dining terrace.
Also included is the enchanting walled garden with pool and barbecue.
We are located in a tranquil corner of the historic centre of Bagni di Lucca, which is a very popular village with all services within easy walking distance. We're a few steps from restaurants, bars, the Irish pub & pizzeria, banks, and shops. The nearest restaurant is almost next door, a cafe is a few doors away for that special cappuccino and pastry, and it's just a few steps to a wine specialist ('Enoteca'), and a small supermarket. Another larger supermarket is a few hundred metres away.
We are an English-Italian family and we restored the villa from its former neglected condition to create a comfortable, spacious home. As well as English and Italian we also speak German and Spanish.
Weekly Summer Rental
We offer 'Villa Rental' which is actually the entire main floor of the villa (the first upstairs floor), of approximately 240 square metres or 2400 square feet, plus the garden. There are no other guests in the building.
The villa rental is suitable for family groups up to a maximum of 10 people, and includes five bedrooms, a modern kitchen and utility room, a secluded dining terrace, three bathrooms (of which 2 are ensuites), and the unique frescoed sala (a very large sitting room at the centre of the house, featuring original frescoes).
Outside there is a private, mature walled garden on two levels with various trees and plants including palms and olives. Here you will find picnic tables, chairs and shady sitting areas, the pool and a spectacular stone monument dedicated to relaxation ('Al Riposo').
