About Rentals
Our summer holiday/vacation rental is ideal for families, there's a minimum stay of a week during the main season and five days in the middle seasons.
The villa rental comprises the entire upstairs floor of the house, plus private use of the walled garden. Groups of all sizes, from 4 to the maximum 10 people, have enjoyed staying here, and there is plenty of space indoors and out.
Villa Rental
The villa accomodates up to 10 guests and includes three bathrooms (of which two are en-suite), kitchen with dishwasher, oven, fridge, etc, an adjoining utility room, a covered dining terrace, the impressive frescoed sala, and five bedrooms.
The lovely, covered upstairs terrace adjoining the kitchen is perfect for dining in the open air whilst being protected from the hot sun. Other options for dining at home include the grand sala and the garden.
This part of the villa has hosted celebrities in the past - the English poets Robert and Elizabeth Barrett-Browning in the 1850s, world-famous operatic composer Giacomo Puccini in the late 1800s and early 1900s who is known to have played the piano in the grand sala (though sadly the piano is gone), and his fellow Italian composer Mascagni.
Outside there is a walled garden for your private use, on two levels with various trees and plants including palms and olives. You'll find tables, chairs, shady seating areas, a bebecue, the pool and an impressive stone monument.
The accomodation comprises the entire main (upstairs) floor of the villa, and there are no other guests at the same time as your group.

Villa Rental Highlights
The Grand Sala
A very large sitting room at the heart of the Villa, the walls and ceiling of this room are entirely covered in antique frescoes. It has an ancient terracotta floor and a view over the garden.
Well-known poet Elizabeth Barrett-Browning wrote many letters here in the 1850s, describing it as the room with 5 doors (there are still 5 doors). Puccini played the piano here (sadly the piano is no longer there) - he often visited as the villa was owned by his lifelong friend.
Comfort
Generously-proportioned rooms with high ceilings, completely renewed bathrooms, and modern fitted kitchen make staying here a pleasure.
Furthermore, due to being in the centre of the town, everything starts just outside the garden gate. The nearest restaurant is almost next door, and a wonderful cafe' is opposite. All the well known restaurants, the banks, supermarkets and other facilities of Bagni di Lucca's historic center (known as 'La Villa') are within easy reach.
The Dining Terrace
Adjoining the kitchen is a large, shady terrace under the roof, with an elegant vintage balustrade, where one can sit comfortably in the shade on the hottest days, and enjoy a cocktail or dinner in the evening.
The Garden
There is a lovely mature walled garden on two levels, with an impressive monument (dedicated to relaxation), mature palm trees, olives and grapes, and a relaxing Tuscan ambiance.
In the garden you will find the in-ground pool (8mx4m, depth 1.2m) positioned in the upper level of the garden, and also a wisteria-covered gazebo and picnic tables.
