Our self-catering offers are ideal for comfortable stays of more than a few days (there's a minimum of four nights or a week, depending on the season).
Furthermore, whatever the size of your group from 1 person up to 10, there is an option just right for you.
The larger groups (or smaller groups wanting the most luxury!) will want to go for the villa rental option. This comprises the entire upstairs floor of the house, plus private use of the walled garden.
The two wings of the main floor are also bookable seperately as smaller apartments, ideal for groups from 1 to 6. One apartment has 2 to 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, modern kitchen, living room and private terrace, and the other is a 1-bedroom apartment with living room, en-suite bathroom and kitchenette.Villa Rental Apartments
The noble floor (the first upstairs floor) of the villa sleeps up to 10 and includes three bathrooms (of which two are en-suite), kitchen with dishwasher, oven, fridge, etc, adjoining utility room, covered dining terrace, the impressive frescoed sala, and four to five bedrooms.
The lovely, covered upstairs terrace adjoining the kitchen is perfect for dining in the open air whilst being protected from the hot sun. Other options for dining at home include the grand sala and the garden.
This part of the villa has hosted celebrities in the past - the English poets Robert and Elizabeth Barrett-Browning in the 1850s, world-famous operatic composer Giacomo Puccini in the late 1800s and early 1900s who is known to have played the piano in the grand sala (though sadly the piano is gone), and his fellow Italian composer Mascagni.
Outside there is a walled garden for your private use, on two levels with various trees and plants including palms and olives. You'll find tables, chairs, a large gazebo and, in summer, the pool which is located below the spectacular stone monument.
Note, the ground floor of the villa comprises two self contained apartments which are not included - one of which is a doctor's studio and the other is our own private apartment. Both have private entrances and will not interfere with your private enjoyment of the main part of the villa and the garden.
Smoking is not allowed.

A very large sitting room at the heart of the Villa, the walls and ceiling of this room are entirely covered in antique frescoes. It has an ancient terracotta floor and a view over the garden.
Elizabeth Barrett-Browning wrote many letters here in the 1850s, describing it as the room with 5 doors (there are still 5 doors). Puccini played the piano here (sadly long gone) - he often visited as the villa was owned by his lifelong friend.
Generously-proportioned rooms with high ceilings, completely renewed bathrooms, and modern fitted kitchen make staying here a pleasure.
Furthermore, due to being in the centre of the town, everything starts just outside the garden gate. The nearest restaurant is next door, and a wonderful cafe' is three doors away on the other side. All the well known restaurants, the banks, supermarkets and other facilities of Bagni di Lucca's historic center (known as 'La Villa') are within easy reach.
Adjoining the kitchen is a large, shady terrace under the roof, part of an originally even larger terrace (the kitchen is built on the other part), where one can sit comfortably in the shade on the hottest days, and enjoy a cocktail or dinner in the evening.
There is a split-level garden with various stone features including an impressive monument, plus various trees including mature palms, olives and various fruits.
In summer there is an above ground pool positioned below the monument, entered from the upper level of the garden, and a gazebo.
